Farm country at its finest

In western Yolo County, the small town of Winters has a charming, walkable downtown at the foot of the Vaca Mountains, surrounded by orchards and farms. To the north, the rural Capay Valley follows Cache Creek between the hills.

Capay Valley and the nearby Dunnigan Hills are both designated wine appellations, home to a small number of growers and wineries. Visits pair naturally with farm stands and seasonal produce.
